About Our Buildings

 Wall Studs placed 16 inches on center for easier installation of everything from peg boards to drywall. 16 inches on center meets or exceeds most local codes.

Each stud wall is topped by a double interlocking top plate that is designed in a way that each wall helps support the wall adjacent to it. So you won’t have to worry about this building getting huffed, puffed, and blown in.

2x4 Floor joists placed 16 inches on center. This provides a more sturdy floor to prevent damage and sagging from the heavier items you might put in your building – like that zero turn mower you’ve been wanting! Our garages come standard with 2x6 floor joists placed 12 inches on center to handle the heaviest items. And, yes, you can park your car on it. All floor joists are pressure treated to avoid water damage and rot.

8 foot and 10 foot wide buildings have two pressure treated skids underneath for ease of transport and added rigidity. Anything wider than 10 foot buildings will have four skids.

All trusses will be 24 inches on center. This meets or exceeds the majority of building codes. All of the trusses will have two “gussets” at every joint (where the boards meet). This gives you added stability, rigidity, and load capacity so you won’t have to worry about all that snow piling up on your building. It can handle it!

All wood buildings have LP Smartside siding. Long known as the industry leader in siding for both portable buildings and homes, LP Smartside comes with a 30 year warranty.

Continuing the LP point, our flooring in portable buildings is LP’s Pro-Struct ¾ inch tongue and groove flooring. This flooring is water resistant and extremely strong, backed by LP’s best in the industry warranties.

The flooring in our garages is LP’s Legacy Premium flooring. This is the best flooring you can get in a portable building for the use, and abuse, that a garage is likely to endure.

All of our wood buildings come with LP’s 7/16 Silvertech sheathing, This is a foil backed sheathing designed to reduce the heat inside your building on those suffocating summer days.

All wood buildings can be painted or urethane finished with our huge selection of PPG paints and Urethanes. We stock many colors, but if you have a specific color mandated by a homeowner’s association or simply want the color of your choice, we can help!
